Steve Howard Is Job Hunting Again
On Monday, May 20, 2019, Steve Howard was interviewed by the Clay County, Florida Board of Commissioners. Like in his attempt last year to jump ship to Pinellas County, Howard was rejected by Clay County, too. Unlike the secretive and entirely mute Camden Commissioners, their Clay counterparts hold open meetings during which they actually speak in public. The sessions are broadcast live on cable TV and videos of the sessions are posted on line. It's a refreshing change from C

Camden Gets Major Space Factory
Before you swoon by thinking that after spending $7 million Steve Howard has finally pulled-off a miracle, this rocket factory is going to the city of Camden, Arkansas, NOT Camden County, Georgia. PROBLEM 1: If the FAA issues a spaceport site license, Camden Commissioners don’t have the money to buy the property or to develop it into a spaceport. We’ll have to borrow millions to buy the Union Carbide property and millions more for improvements. That will take property tax increases to make the monthly payments for ten years. PROBLEM 2: That loan will be on top of the money Commissioners will have to borrow mid-ye

Camden taxpayers aren’t fooled BY SPACEPORT STUNTS
Three weeks ago we offered a gold-bordered Certificate of Excellence on parchment-grade paper with a rocket and little green man for the best idea submitted for the next Spaceport Camden Publicity Stunt. We’ve had to order eight more certificates since so many winning suggestions poured in. A drum-roll please for the nine Publicity Stunts tied for 1st place: Because all the rocket companies are way behind schedule, Camden announces we’ll build our own orbital rocket in the Ho
